Birb Field Notes is an independent fan guide to Birb, the incremental bird game by hwonze. We cover practical progression questions: nest tiers, Evolution resets, fishing and breeding, companion loadouts, Expedition, mining, workshop automation and carrying an existing save to Steam.

Who publishes the notes

The site is published by RayJ7. It is not an official wiki, support service or account-recovery service, and is not affiliated with hwonze, Steam or itch.io. Birb and its game assets belong to their respective owners.

How to read a guide

Each guide begins with its central requirement, then explains the checks that help you apply it. Links to dated developer updates appear at the end. If a newer update or the current game's requirement changes a rule, follow that newer information.

The progression diagrams and woodland illustration are original guide artwork. They are not screenshots and do not depict exact in-game locations or menus. We do not host the game, downloadable game files or copied game sprites.

The gameplay gallery also includes official Steam screenshots and captures from the web game. Game images belong to hwonze. Each image has a source and caption; promotional screenshots can show a different build from the one you are playing.

Corrections

Use the contact page to reach the publisher about a guide error or a broken link. Include the page address, the requirement you are seeing and a current developer announcement if available. Never send account passwords or game save files.
