Privacy

Last updated October 4, 2026.

Birb Field Notes does not ask for a game account, password, save file or personal details. There is no sign-in, upload form, comment system or shopping checkout on this site. Your optional analytics choice is saved in this browser's local storage; game or guide progress is not stored here.

Hosting and requests

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Serving a page requires the hosting provider to receive information such as an IP address, request URL and browser request details. The provider may process request and security logs under its own policies. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy for its handling of that information.

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics is optional and off until you select Allow analytics. Before permission is granted, the Google tag is not loaded and this site sends no analytics data to Google. Selecting Reject analytics keeps it off. Both choices leave the guides available.

If you allow it, Google Analytics can measure page views, engagement, scrolling and outbound-link interactions, along with browser/device information and technical request data. Analytics may use first-party cookies on this site's hostname. We disable advertising consent, Google Signals and ad personalization in our tag. The page location we supply omits query strings and URL fragments.

Use Analytics choices in the footer to change your selection. Rejecting after permission disables the tag, clears this site's accessible Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop further collection. Clearing local storage also removes the saved choice. If storage is blocked, your choice applies to the current page only and may be requested again on a later page.

Read Google's privacy policy for its data handling. There are no ads, embedded game frames or remotely loaded media. Site artwork and styles are served from this site's own host.

Links to Steam, itch.io, the official web game and the publisher's contact profile lead to separate services. Those services have their own privacy practices. Clicking a link may send normal browser request and referrer information to the destination; this site uses a restrictive referrer policy.

Contact

The contact page explains where to reach the publisher. A contact made through another service is handled under that service's policies. Keep game credentials and unredacted save data private.
